At MAquaponics, we believe that the future of sustainable agriculture starts with education and innovation. This belief has inspired our latest partnership with Avedisian School, where we are working on retrofitting their greenhouse to become a beacon of modern agricultural learning and inclusivity.

Innovative Greenhouse Design

The newly retrofitted greenhouse will be equipped with cutting-edge technologies designed to maximize efficiency and productivity while making the space accessible to all students, including those using wheelchairs. This commitment to inclusivity underscores our core values of equal access to hands-on learning and exploration.
The design will feature:

• Bioreactors, NFT Systems, and Vertical Growing Towers: By integrating these technologies, students will gain hands-on experience with various ponics methods. This blend of systems offers a diverse environment for understanding plant growth, fluid dynamics, and sustainable agriculture.
• Dual Growing Environments: The greenhouse will be divided into two distinct sections — one using a ponic system and the other dedicated to traditional soil planting. This allows students to compare and contrast different growing methods, giving them a deeper understanding of plant biology and sustainable agriculture practices.

A Space for Learning and Experimentation

Our goal is to make the greenhouse an interactive classroom for 8th- and 9th-grade pupils. Here, they will have the opportunity to conduct experiments, test innovative growing techniques, and explore their passion for agriculture and environmental stewardship. Whether learning about nutrient cycles, plant health, or new agricultural technologies, students will gain practical knowledge that connects theory to real-world practice.
